Mikko Label

The post-press processing phase is very critical in the course of production of paper labels by the sheet offset methods, which is due to the fact that the lines used today for gluing such labels operate at rather high speeds and are very sensitive to any slightest changes in sizes of labels or composition of raw materials they are made of. For the purpose of production of such labels, Mikkogroup makes use of the Polar Mohr equipment produced in Germany, which allows to produce monthly more than 1 billion of labels during the peak-load months.

The enterprise operates 4 automated lines for production of labels (by the "sheet – belt – packed pile" technique), with one of them intended for production of square labels. The capacity of each line is about 14 million labels per day, the average seasonal output is 50 million labels per day. Each line is furnished with the equipment used to paste tags onto products. All the labels are generated by the accounting system, enabling to define every production stage and provide for quantitative control.

The raw materials stocking, printing and cutting-notching processes assure the high level of accuracy and stability of all parameters for reusable container labels, which are declared today on the market by the largest beer manufacturers. In 2008, we produced some 8 billion sheet labels and, thus, increased the production volume by 10 % (as compared to 2007).
